Flying Osaka to Helsinki and got an in app offer to upgrade to business for 399€ per seat. Seemed reasonable, but I wanted to see if bidding was an option so I contacted customer support.
The rep told me upgrades are 1100€ per seat and said they can’t see or honor the 399€ offer. Claimed they don’t negotiate and that the cheaper offer was no longer valid.
Thing is, the 399€ upgrade is still showing in my Finnair account right now.
Is it really normal that CS can’t see or apply offers that customers clearly have in the system? Would you just grab the 399€ now or wait and try again later, maybe at the gate or with another agent?
