Finally saw the Merlion… that was it?

Last year I finally went to see the Merlion. It’s right there, everyone goes, so I walked over.

It was smaller than I expected. People show up, take a few photos, then leave. I did the exact same thing.

It wasn’t bad, just very quick. Honestly the walk around Marina Bay was nicer than the statue itself. I ended up spending more time just walking along the water than standing near the Merlion.

I’m glad I saw it once, but I don’t feel any need to go back. Curious how it felt for others. Did it live up to expectations for you?
