Finally had time to visit the lounge... only to be turned away

I was genuinely excited to check out the United Club for the first time. My flight had been delayed, and I finally had enough time to make use of the lounge benefit.

Then I arrived and saw the sign stating that the club was not accepting one-time passes.

I guess I should have known better than to get my hopes up at Newark.
