I saw a couple of other posts about this so I decided to add my own experience in the hope it eventually gets attention.
I have been unable to reliably use the Miles & More app or website, or even the Lufthansa app, to book award tickets for the past 12 to 14 months. It seems to be a recurring issue and I know I am not the only one experiencing it based on posts across this subreddit and other frequent flyer forums.
I have already tried the usual troubleshooting steps such as enabling MFA and reinstalling the apps. That temporarily helped once, but the issue has come back and nothing seems to resolve it consistently. It does not seem to matter which cabin class I select either.
At this point I have filed a DOT complaint because the system has been effectively unusable for a long time. I am hoping enough visibility will eventually push for a fix.
Lufthansa is a major flag carrier and this level of functionality really should not be an ongoing issue.
