I just heard Universal Orlando’s Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is closing on August 18, and I’m already planning a trip down just to ride it one last time. This coaster was one of the things I looked forward to most on my first Universal visit. I remember standing in line, feeling that mix of nerves and excitement, and scrolling through the secret song list to pick the perfect track. By the time we hit that vertical climb, my heart was racing in sync with the music.
There’s something about blasting down drops at 65 mph with your favorite song pumping in your ears that made this ride unforgettable. I’m sad to see it go, but I can’t wait to say goodbye in person.
