I recently visited Disneyland Resort for the first time with my family for a 6-day trip, including 3 park days. I wanted to share a full cost breakdown of our experience for anyone planning a similar trip.
The total cost came to $5,156.78 for a family of three (including one toddler who was free). We traveled from the East Coast and our expenses included several categories.
Flights cost $1,414.68, including a layover in each direction and paying extra to ensure our seats were together. Checked baggage fees added another $140.
Airport transportation from LAX to our hotel and back cost $337.25 for a private transfer with a car seat. Parking at our home airport cost $49.
Hotel and park tickets together totaled $2,268.83. This included a Good Neighbor hotel package, a promotional free night, and 3-day park tickets with Lightning Lane for two adults.
Food expenses came to $924.51, covering airport meals, park food, a rest day in Downtown Disney, and a character dining experience. Souvenirs were minimal at $10.75.
Overall, this gives a full picture of what a Disneyland trip can cost for a small family, including travel, lodging, tickets, and daily expenses
