This is such a classic EZAir story. They refuse to touch anything until there’s an actual delay or cancellation, even when there’s a giant storm bearing down and everyone knows what’s coming.
The frustrating part is you were trying to be proactive and they basically force you to gamble on a same day connection through Charlotte in winter. For a cruise. That’s just asking for stress.
Good call going straight to American and handling it yourself. It says a lot that the airline was more flexible than the cruise line’s own air program. Eating the transfer fee sucks, but honestly that’s a small price compared to missing the ship.
