Extra time boarding is getting out of hand

I’m usually A1 or somewhere early in A, so I’m already on the plane and never really see the chaos. Today I had a last minute change and ended up waiting while ALP and AL boarded before B group.

Everyone talks about the preboard situation, but this was the first time I really noticed the “extra time” version of it. A whole group of 20 somethings boarded early together, then met up with friends who were clearly A1–A60 and were holding multiple rows for them.

That one was… impressive.

Honestly, bring on assigned seating already. This stuff just creates tension for no reason. Also side note, the WiFi has been terrible on all four Southwest flights I’ve been on this week.
