I’m currently on a solo trip and recently reconnected with someone I had a brief travel romance with a couple of years ago.
Seeing him again brought back a lot of feelings and chemistry, and I really enjoyed spending time together while I was in his city. However, I also realized that a long-term relationship probably wouldn’t work because we live on opposite sides of the world, and I don’t think either of us could realistically make the move needed to be together.
Part of me is glad I got to relive those memories, but another part of me wishes I hadn’t reconnected, since it made leaving more difficult.
I’m curious if others have had similar experiences, when you reconnected with a travel fling, did the feelings come back? Did anything serious develop, or did it end up being just a short-lived moment again?
