Despite the ongoing dynamic situation in Dubai, my overall experience flying with Emirates on both segments of my journey (Manila to Dubai, then Dubai to Copenhagen) was very positive.
The first leg from Manila to Dubai was fully booked, with very few empty seats across all cabins. The flight still departed and arrived on time, although we were held in a holding pattern for a while before being cleared to land, likely due to temporary airspace activity. Upon arrival in Dubai, everything at the airport appeared to be operating normally—shops and restaurants were open, and passenger flow across terminals seemed unaffected.
Given the short layover of under three hours, there was some initial concern about possible disruptions or cancellations. However, operations proceeded as planned. The second leg from Dubai to Copenhagen did depart with a slight delay due to congestion on the runway, as multiple flights were queued for takeoff using limited runway availability.
The flight itself took longer than usual because of rerouted airspace, requiring a longer path through safer corridors. Once the aircraft reached European airspace, the remainder of the journey was smooth, and the flight landed safely in Copenhagen after approximately eight hours.
Overall, the service onboard was excellent. The cabin crew were professional and attentive, the meals were well-prepared, and the inflight entertainment system was highly engaging and helped pass the time comfortably
