I recently flew with Ryanair after traveling on Air France, and the contrast in experience was quite noticeable.
While the Air France flight felt clean and comfortable, the Ryanair aircraft appeared significantly less clean. Upon reaching my assigned seat, I noticed visible dirt and what looked like dried residue on the floor, which made the experience uncomfortable. I chose to switch seats with my travel companion due to the condition. Even the second seat was not in great condition.
During the flight, another passenger required assistance from a flight attendant due to what appeared to be vomit on their seatbelt. Overall, multiple seats and surrounding areas seemed poorly maintained.
Given the relatively low fare paid (around $120), I understand that Ryanair operates as a low-cost carrier, but the level of cleanliness was still surprising compared to other budget airlines I’ve flown (such as Spirit and Frontier), where I did not encounter similar issues.
I’m wondering if this is typical for Ryanair, or if this was an isolated case.
