Exit row seats on a 787-9: middle vs side seats which is better

I am flying on a long haul Boeing 787-9 in a few months and thinking about upgrading to an exit row seat. I am not sure whether to pick the middle exit row seats or the ones closer to the side. Is there any real difference between them in terms of comfort, legroom, or convenience, or is one option generally better?
