Evacuation on AA Denver flight after tire blows, brake fire reported

Another day, another Boeing 737 MAX incident, it seems. This time it was American Airlines in Denver, and while thankfully everyone got off safely, the footage of passengers sliding down the chutes while dragging their bags was wild. I get the instinct, but man we’ve heard it a hundred times. Leave your stuff.

It’s not the first time lately something’s gone wrong during takeoff or landing, and it’s starting to make me rethink where I sit on the plane. I’ll be watching closely to see what the FAA finds, but honestly, how many more of these does it take before passengers stop treating slides like carnival rides with carry-ons?
