I’ve flown both EVA and China Airlines long-haul, and for me it always comes down to what I value more on that particular trip. Comfort or price. EVA wins hands-down on cabin comfort, food, and lounge access. Royal Laurel is genuinely one of the best business products out there without a door. But when I’m looking to save or need SkyTeam miles, China Airlines is a decent alternative, especially in Premium Economy.
If you’re Star Alliance-loyal, EVA is a no-brainer. But if you’re flying intra-Asia or just trying to hop across the Pacific on a deal? Don’t count China Airlines out.
