Saw this in the news and immediately thought of Wizz.
The European Parliament voted to give passengers the right to bring a small cabin suitcase for free, in addition to the under seat bag. EasyJet’s CEO already called it a “lunatic idea,” which kind of tells you where this is going.
I’m honestly amazed Wizz hasn’t said anything yet. This basically attacks their entire pricing model. Paid bags are half the business.
If this actually goes through, I can’t even imagine the new fees they’ll come up with to make up for it.
Curious what others think. Is this actually going to stick, or will it get watered down into nothing?
