etstar pulling out of US flights entirely. Honolulu route ends October

Noticed Jetstar is officially ending all of its US services, including the Sydney–Honolulu route which wraps up in October. That’s the end of a nearly 20-year run to Hawaii. They’re shifting focus to Asia instead, saying demand’s stronger there and Aussies aren’t as keen on the US lately political climate and stricter border rules aren’t exactly helping either.

Flight Centre even revised its profit outlook because of how “unsettled” the US travel market’s become. Jetstar says they’ll rebook people on Qantas or offer refunds, but still end of an era for anyone who counted on them for a cheap way to hit Waikiki.
