We’re flying Dublin to Krabi on March 15 with Etihad through Abu Dhabi. With everything going on, we’re honestly pretty nervous about transiting there and also worried the flight might get cancelled.
I found another option with Turkmenistan Airlines via Ashgabat that actually works well timing wise. But then I looked at a map and saw Ashgabat airport is very close to Iran, which made me question whether that’s just swapping one risk for another.
Now we’re debating whether to stick with Etihad, switch to Turkmenistan Airlines, or just pay an extra €900 for a one way via China for peace of mind.
Are we overthinking this or is one of these options clearly the safer bet?
