I am looking at selecting the “neighbour-free” seats on an Etihad Boeing 787-10 economy flight from Bangkok to Abu Dhabi.
These seats are located in front of and to the side of the toilets, but not directly adjacent to them. The main benefit is having an empty adjacent seat and more personal space.
Since this is a daytime flight, I will not be sleeping and mainly plan to watch movies, relax, and move around a bit.
My concern:
The seats are near the lavatory area, so I am wondering if this will cause issues such as:
Odor or smell
People queuing next to the seat
Constant foot traffic and disturbance
Question:
For anyone who has specifically sat in similar seats on Etihad 787-10 or other aircraft, is the extra space worth the potential inconvenience of being near the toilets? Or is it better to avoid these seats and stay further away in regular economy rows?
Would appreciate real experience rather than just seat map theory.
