Ethiopian Airlines chooses GE Aerospace engines for new Boeing 787

Ethiopian Airlines has selected GE Aerospace's GEnx engines to power 11 new Boeing 787 Dreamliners, expanding its GEnx-powered fleet from 19 to 30 aircraft.

The airline also reaffirmed its previous order for GE9X engines for eight Boeing 777-9 aircraft, with options for six more.

Both agreements include long-term service contracts for maintenance, repair, and overhaul of the engines, underscoring Ethiopian Airlines' commitment to operational excellence and sustainability.
