Planning a 6-month road trip with my girlfriend next year. Flying to Halifax, a couple months in Canada, then about 70 days down the US West Coast. After that, 1 month in Mexico before crossing back into the US for about 10 days, then into Canada again to ship the van home.
Question is: while we’re in Mexico, does the ESTA 90-day clock stop, or does it keep running? We’ll only spend, 80 days total inside the US, but the trip itself will be longer than 90 days. Don’t want to get stuck at the border on the way back.
