Escaping to Wildflower Farms, New York’s Top-Rated Resort

I recently spent a weekend at Wildflower Farms in Gardiner, and it’s easy to see why Travel and Leisure readers voted it the best resort in New York. Nestled at the foot of the Shawangunk Mountains, the place feels like a little nature sanctuary with cozy cabins, farm-fresh meals, and the friendliest donkeys and sheep you’ll ever meet. My mornings started with meditation classes and ended with stargazing in the hot tub, not a bad way to reset.

One of my favorite touches was the curated guide they give you at check-in. I ended up at Brooklyn Cider House for a tasting and spent an afternoon wandering Storm King Art Center’s massive outdoor sculptures. If you’re looking for a luxury stay that still feels warm and personal, this spot nails it.

Anyone else been here and tried their botanical cocktail-making class?
