During a recent KLM flight, I was reading the inflight magazine and noticed what appears to be an error in the aircraft information.
The magazine states that the Boeing 737-800 was introduced in 2007, but that does not align with fleet history, as the aircraft type entered service much earlier. The specific aircraft I was on also dates back to around 1999, which further contradicts the timeline mentioned.
I’m curious how such an inconsistency might have made it into the publication and whether it is a simple editorial mistake or a misunderstanding of aircraft variants and introduction dates.
