Just flew London to San Francisco in economy and my entertainment screen was dead the whole flight. Crew tried resetting it but no luck, and they didn’t have a tablet or backup device. The flight was full so I couldn’t move seats.
To make it worse, my partner’s seat had a big metal box under it (I’m guessing part of the system) that cut into her legroom, so we both ended up cramped. Both USB ports were broken too, and my headrest wouldn’t stay up.
The crew offered a £50 voucher or 3,500 Avios but suggested filing a formal complaint instead. Has anyone done that before and what kind of compensation should I expect for a 12-hour flight like this?
