I booked non-refundable Emirates tickets directly on emirates.com. Normally if I cancel or change them it would cost about $300 per passenger.
Because of the current regional conflict situation, I contacted Emirates support. The agent told me that if I submit a refund request online and include “involuntary cancellation” in the comments, it should be processed without any cancellation fee, with the refund taking about 15–20 days.
Before submitting it, I’m curious if anyone here has tried this recently.
Did you actually receive the full refund, or were any fees still deducted?
How long did it take for the refund to show up?
Would really appreciate hearing other people’s experiences with this.
