I’ve flown Emirates a handful of times now and the food timing really confuses me. My first flight ages ago, Manchester to Dubai in economy, food came out pretty quickly and no complaints.
Every flight since has been business class and the service has felt insanely slow. On a 17 hour overnight flight it took around three and a half to four hours before I even got food, and I had pre ordered. Another time on an 8 hour flight it still took about two hours just to start service.
Now I’m on the way back, 7 hour flight, not even full, and we’re two and a half hours in and I’ve only just been served the appetizer. Main is still to come.
I genuinely don’t get it. On shorter flights especially, by the time food finally arrives you’re either trying to sleep or already thinking about landing. Anyone know why Emirates does it this way, or am I just unlucky every time?
