I just arrived at my destination in Mumbai after flying from Boston with a connection in Dubai. I traveled in Emirates Economy Saver, and overall I had a very positive experience. My connection time in Dubai was about 1 hour 40 minutes, and I flew EK238 and EK500.
Starting in Boston, everything went smoothly, including quick security and organized boarding. The crew was helpful with baggage storage, and the passengers were cooperative as well. The inflight experience was comfortable with working entertainment screens, headphones, and a good selection of movies. The food was also very good, especially the dessert, and meals were served frequently enough that the journey felt short.
We landed in Dubai about 28 minutes early. I moved quickly through the airport and reached my next gate within a few minutes. I also had time to explore Dubai Airport, which felt relatively calm and less crowded compared to other airports I have seen.
The boarding process in Dubai was faster but less organized, with passengers forming lines without much structure or announcements. However, it was still manageable.
The onward flight (EK500) felt similar to a domestic-style flight in India. The crew was friendly and attentive, the entertainment system worked well, and the flight was smooth. After landing in Mumbai, I was finally able to reunite with my family after two years, making the journey very meaningful and stress-free overall.
I had a very positive impression of Emirates and appreciated the overall service experience.
