Elite Status Gone Wild: What I Witnessed at the American Airlines Lounge

I was at the Admirals Club in O’Hare when a Concierge Key member lost it demanded the remote, insulted staff, threw a beer cap, and yelled slurs, all while claiming his elite status made it OK. Lounge staff hesitated to act because of his “VIP” status, but the situation was completely out of control.

As someone who’s flown with AA for over a decade, I’ve never seen entitlement this extreme. Elite status should enhance the experience, not excuse bad behavior. Has anyone else seen things like this in lounges lately? Curious how airlines should really handle these “very VIP” moments.
