A small electrical fire in the tunnels near MacArthur Park on Sunday caused B and D Line trains to halt, just as they were finally getting back to normal. LAFD had to go in and put it out near the third rail no one was hurt, thankfully but it’s another reminder of how fragile this system can feel sometimes.
Kind of wild how even something like rubbish near the electrified rail can grind the subway to a halt. This close to the D Line extension opening, it’s a bit unnerving. Anyone else been caught in Metro chaos like this lately?
