Just flew BKK to DXB on an A380 in EK economy. First time on Emirates in about 5 years. We used to fly them all the time back when we lived in Dubai, so this stood out.
Service felt noticeably lighter than before. No pre meal drinks, no snack service before landing, and it was surprisingly hard to get drinks during the flight. Cabin was full, but there were plenty of crew around. They just seemed to spend most of the time chatting in the galleys.
Not sure if this was a one off or if this is just how EK economy is now. Curious what others have been seeing lately.
