This will be my first time flying with Turkish Airlines, so I wanted to get some input from more experienced travelers.
I booked an economy ticket from LAX to Munich, but my return flight from Munich to LAX is in business class. The price difference was significant. Business class to Munich was around 6.8k, while the return in business was only about 2.3k, which is why I split the booking that way.
I’m wondering if there is any chance that business class fares might drop closer to the departure date if seats are still available. Would upgrading from economy to business become cheaper later, or does the upgrade price usually stay consistent?
If prices do change, when is the best time to start checking? For example, should I monitor it within 24 to 48 hours before departure?
Also, if a cheaper upgrade becomes available, what is the best way to process it? Can I pay with a credit card over the phone, or is it better to handle it at the airport check-in counter? Or are upgrades mainly limited to Miles and Smiles members using points?
Any advice, tips, or experiences on getting a reasonably priced upgrade from economy to business would be really helpful.
