Saw a warning from someone who had a pretty rough experience trying to enter Belize using those “onward ticket” services.
They bought reservations from DummyTicket and OnwardTicket to show proof of onward travel, but both bookings were apparently issued through United Airlines routes. The problem is that those itineraries transit through the US, which requires a US transit visa for many nationalities.
Because of that, Belize immigration rejected the onward tickets and they ended up stuck dealing with it for hours. The person also ran into issues earlier in the trip with split bookings through Colombia and had to buy several new flights along the way.
Their suggestion was to avoid those dummy ticket services if you’re not a US citizen or don’t have a US transit visa, since the itineraries might route through the US.
Instead they suggested using airlines like Copa that allow a temporary 24-hour hold on a reservation, which can sometimes work as proof of onward travel.
