Torn between two very different ways to spend New Year’s.
Option 1: Stay in Dubai for NYE, watch the fireworks (which I honestly love), then fly out New Year’s Day on Emirates A380 Premium Economy.
Option 2: Fly on NYE, DXB to DOH late night, long layover in Doha, then Qsuite on the A350-1000 back to the US. About 9 hours in DOH and roughly $1k more, but this would be my first and probably only Qsuite experience.
I’m stuck because Dubai fireworks are a big deal for me, but Qsuite feels like a once-in-a-lifetime splurge. If I do the Qatar option, is there any way to still see fireworks around Doha? And are there decent sleep options in the airport for that layover?
Would love to hear how others would play this.
