Downgraded my Venture X to Venture One

So I haven’t been using this card lately and they just posted the annual fee so I called customer service to downgrade to Venture One but I was told annual fee won’t be reimbursed if I downgrade. I checked for an offer to downgrade online thru my account and did the downgrade to Venture One and got reimbursed the annual fee the next day. FYI
