Downgraded from Premium Economy, what compensation should I expect?

Just got back from Antigua after a week away for our 10-year anniversary. We booked BA Premium Economy with Avios and a companion voucher almost a year ago.


Online check-in never worked, and at the airport they told us Premium was overbooked one of us had to be downgraded to Economy. So we ended up flying home in different cabins on what was supposed to be our first kid-free trip in years.


Has anyone dealt with this before? What kind of compensation should we push for?
