Don’t trust Southwest’s “change flight” tool for price drops

Noticed a fare drop on my booking. “Change flight” tool showed it was 1,500 points cheaper, but a fresh search showed 8,500 points cheaper. Agent confirmed it and told me to cancel/rebook instead. So yeah, always run a new search, the tool isn’t showing the real drop.
