Big win for Tennessee! Dollywood just snagged the 1 spot in Tripadvisor’s 2025 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Awards beating out the likes of Disney’s Magic Kingdom and Universal’s Islands of Adventure. This is the third time in four years it’s taken the top U.S. theme park title, and it even landed 11th globally. Not bad for a park that started 40 years ago in Pigeon Forge with Dolly Parton at the helm.
As someone who’s been to both Disney and Dollywood, I can say there’s a different kind of charm here less corporate, more heartfelt. The mix of world-class rides, Appalachian vibes, and that warm Southern hospitality is hard to top. Anyone else been recently? Do you think Dollywood deserves the crown again?
