Does Points and Cash make cancellations less likely?

I have seen posts where people say award stays booked fully with points sometimes get canceled by the hotel.

This time I used Points and Cash instead. The cash part was authorized right away and actually charged the next day.

Now I am wondering if that makes the booking safer. Since there is an actual charge on my credit card, does that lower the chance of the hotel canceling compared to a 100 percent points booking?

Or does it not really matter and cancellations are still possible either way?
