Does my cat need rabies vaccine to fly with Turkish Airlines in cabin from UK to Singapore?

Hi everyone, I need urgent advice.

I’m flying with Turkish Airlines from LHR → SIN with my cat in the cabin, including a 7-hour layover in Istanbul (I won’t be leaving the airport or transit area).

My cat is:

microchipped

neutered

up to date with all routine vaccinations

The issue is rabies vaccination. Singapore import rules state that cats coming from the UK do not require a rabies vaccine. However, I’m worried that Turkish Airlines might still require it for boarding, regardless of destination rules.

I only have about 20 days before travel, and I believe rabies vaccination (if required) may need to be done at least 30 days before departure, so timing is tight.

My main question is:

Will Turkish Airlines refuse boarding if my cat does not have a rabies vaccination, even if Singapore does not require it?

Any recent experiences or official clarification would really help.
