Trying to double check this before booking. I’m on a US passport and planning to enter mainland China from Hong Kong via West Kowloon, then exit to Macau, and later ferry back to Hong Kong for my flight home. Total time in mainland would be about 8 days.
Does Macau count as a valid third region exit separate from Hong Kong for the 240 hour TWOV rules, or would this cause an issue since both are SARs?
If anyone has done this exact routing recently or knows how border control treats it, would really appreciate confirmation.
