I have a question about seating strategy with Frontier Airlines.
I usually wait until after check-in to see what seat I get. If I end up with a middle seat, I then pay to change it. I am wondering if the airline tracks this behavior or will start assigning me middle seats more often as a result.
I checked in very soon after opening, within about two minutes, and it still seemed like I was being assigned less desirable seats. I assumed early check-in would give better chances of getting a window or aisle seat, but that has not really been my experience.
Is there any actual system behind this, or is it just random seat assignment based on availability?
