Currently BA Gold and oneworld Emerald, but I’ve been living in Hong Kong for years now and maintaining BA status just doesn’t feel worth it anymore. Redemptions are tough and most benefits are geared toward flying out of the UK.
I’d much rather shift loyalty to a local airline and actually get some value day to day. Does Cathay ever offer status matches or challenges from other oneworld airlines like BA?
Would appreciate any recent experiences or insight.
