I’ve had my belongings in storage for a few years now, and dealing with not having a fixed residence has become pretty inconvenient. The storage costs are also adding up.
I’m considering whether it might be easier to rent a cheap apartment in a no-income-tax state, move my stuff there, and essentially leave it empty most of the time while I travel.
I am wondering if anyone actually does this lifestyle setup.
My main concerns are things like potential issues while the place is unattended, such as water leaks or break-ins. I would likely go for an apartment or condo, but the same risks still exist if it is empty 99% of the time.
Are these concerns realistic, and does anyone here actually maintain a mostly unused home base while living as a digital nomad?
