Do Virgin Atlantic upgrade bid prices ever drop closer to departure?

Hi all,

I’m booked in Premium Economy with Virgin Atlantic from LHR to Delhi, booked using points and a companion voucher.

I’ve noticed the upgrade bid system is currently open, with the lowest offer showing around £417 per passenger for Upper Class.

From what I can see, Premium Economy is nearly full, while Upper Class still appears to have availability.

My question is whether these upgrade bid prices ever decrease closer to departure. For example, is it realistic to expect the minimum bid might drop (say to around £350), or do they typically stay the same or increase as the flight date approaches?

Any data points or past experiences would be helpful.
