My only cruise experience so far has been with Disney Cruise Line, which I took with my wife and our 2-year-old child. It was an excellent experience and set a very high expectation for what cruising is like in general.
For my next trip, my wife and I are planning an Alaska cruise with Princess Cruises. I understand that Alaska itineraries are more focused on the destination than onboard amenities, but I have noticed differences in onboard policies such as extra charges for things like fountain drinks, which were included on Disney.
I am trying to understand whether other cruise lines generally match the level of service and inclusions found on Disney, or if Disney is in a category of its own when it comes to overall cruise experience.
