I saw a report saying Lufthansa is cutting around 20,000 flights to reduce fuel costs as prices rise, but I am unsure how that relates to flights that are still available for booking.
For example, I found an itinerary on Swiss Air’s website that is partially operated by Lufthansa:
Buenos Aires (EZE) → Frankfurt (FRA) on LH 511 (Boeing 747-8, Economy)
Frankfurt (FRA) → Alicante (ALC) via connection
Total travel time: about 18h 55m
This flight is currently still showing as available to book.
My question is whether flights like this are likely to be part of the reported reductions, but simply not canceled yet, or if the cuts only apply to specific routes or schedules that are already being removed from inventory.
