Do credit card points count toward Frontier elite status tiers

I recently signed up for a Frontier Airlines credit card and earned 50,000 points after meeting the spending requirement. However, my elite status did not update from Gold to Platinum as I expected.

I am trying to understand whether points earned through credit card bonuses contribute toward qualifying for reward tiers, or if only certain types of activity count toward status upgrades.
