I’ve stayed at a couple of all-inclusives, and while they’re definitely convenient, I can see how they create a bubble that brings out some cringe-worthy habits. Buffets piled sky-high, people showing off their wristbands like trophies, and that never-ending race to see who can drink the most piña coladas by noon it’s entertaining to watch but also a little uncomfortable. I’ve even caught myself calculating “value per cocktail” once, which totally killed the relaxation vibe.
What really gets me is how some guests treat staff, or how they never leave the resort to explore the local culture. I feel like that defeats the point of traveling. Have you noticed the same behavior at all-inclusives, or do you think it’s unfair to judge? Curious to hear if others feel the same way or if I’m being too critical.
