I’m curious what the most excessive resort or destination fee people have encountered at Hyatt hotels is.
It feels like many non-select-service Hyatt properties now add some kind of daily destination or resort fee, which can be frustrating. In my case, I noticed a $20 per night charge that feels hard to justify given the location and what the property actually offers.
From a Globalist perspective, it can feel slightly beneficial since it effectively offsets elite status value, but otherwise it just seems like an arbitrary extra cost added on top of the room rate.
Has anyone seen more extreme examples of these fees or similarly questionable charges at Hyatt properties?
