Stayed one night at Hilton Times Square using points great location, but the service was rough. The front desk agent who started my check-in literally walked away mid-process, and another person had to finish it. It wasn’t even busy.
What really stung was seeing my friend (not a Hilton member) get a skyline-view room while I got stuck on one of the lowest floors with a wall view. I’d even called earlier to ask about upgrades, but nothing changed.
At least they didn’t charge a destination fee on a full points stay, so maybe they fixed that part. Still, not the kind of treatment I expected as a Diamond.
