I used to consider Air India’s catering one of its strengths, even if delays and older aircraft were common issues. In the past, I remember better breakfast options like omelettes, fruit cups, and multiple drink refills in economy.
However, on my recent flight from Heathrow to Mumbai, the food service felt noticeably reduced. The portions were smaller, and even basic items like water were served in unusual containers.
I am unsure if this is a recent change, a route-specific difference, or related to catering arrangements in London, but the overall experience was disappointing compared to what I expected.
